Teri Anulewicz
Teri Anulewicz joined Capital City Public Affairs in February 2025, following 17 years of service in public office. She was elected to represent House District 42 in Cobb County in November 2017, serving a vibrant district that included parts of the City of Smyrna and City of Marietta, the Battery Atlanta and the Atlanta Braves, and Dobbins Air Reserve Base, until January 2025.
During her years in the Legislature, Teri served on the House Appropriations, Public Health, Government Affairs, Transportation, Code Revision, and Intragovernmental Coordination Committees, and was secretary for the House Creative Arts and Entertainment Committee. Teri served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Cobb County Legislative Delegation from 2021–2025. She also served as House Co-Chair for the Georgia-Japan Caucus and the Georgia-Taiwan Caucus, and was Treasurer for the Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus.
Prior to her service in the Legislature, Teri spent a decade representing Ward 3 on the Smyrna City Council. She was first elected in 2007 and was elected to her third term in 2015. In 2016, she was appointed Mayor Pro Tem.
Teri’s professional experience includes more than two decades of experience in public affairs and government relations with an emphasis on advocacy, alliance development, coalition building, media relations, and grassroots mobilization for clients that included retail companies, trade associations, and the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The firstborn in a family of six children, Teri is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and was raised in New Orleans and in Houston, Texas. She moved to Georgia in 1994 and received her bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Agnes Scott College in 1998. She is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for several organizations in Cobb and Atlanta. Teri lives with her husband, Chris, their two children, and their three bird dogs near the heart of downtown Smyrna.
